Newcomer 'Anton Dumjahn's alias 'GRNVLR' is only 17 years old, but yet ready to pursue music and dedicate himself towards big goals: becoming a well-known electronic music producer in the industry.
To minimize further confusion his name is pronounced 'Granular'. Anton Dumjahn commented that he chose to name himself GRNVLR after falling in love with the sound designing technique 'Granular Synthesis' which is especially being used in experimental and sub-genres of Future Bass.
With his first release 'Planetary' that happened to come out on May, 1st 2021, GRNVLR managed to draw attention from already established Artists on the Music Platform 'SoundCloud' to himself. After amazing feedback, he knew he was willing to put out more and above all: on other streaming services. His music is nothing to really be heard on the radio but is made to break in borders of genres and make use of transcending them. You won’t really be able to classify his work as it‘s holding a balance between commercial and experimental music. Creative freedom is turned into a passionate way of making music combining established genres with experimental tunes.
GRNVLR commented that his biggest inspirations in the music industry happen to be Artists like Flume, San Holo, MayFlwr, and Ian Munro. A goal that is set is to release a song on an Independent label called 'Bitbird', founded by one of his biggest inspirations San Holo.
After receiving a low amount of streams and attention on his Spotify Release and Social Media, he still decides to continue producing and publishing music as giving up his passion seems to be not even a thought worth in his opinion. He is planning on releasing 2 more songs in June, which can already be pre-heard on his SoundCloud.
