DRxug of Choice: Pick Your Poison by LGBTQ author Christopher Duquette available in pre-release

Author Christopher Duquette's second nonfiction title is available in pre-release through 2nd Spirit Books

Apex, North Carolina Jun 9, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - 2nd Spirit Books is set to release author Christopher Duquette's newest title, "DRxug of Choice: Pick Your Poison" and re-release of "HOMO GOGO MAN: A Fairytale About A Boy Growing Up In Discoland" summer of 2019. Mr. Duquette's first title has performed very well through private sales and independent self-promotion, so much so that it is being released with an enhanced cover design alongside his newest release, "DRxug of Choice."

Christopher Duquette is a New York City / New Jersey native who began college in NYC and then navigated to Studio 54 where he learned he was homosexual and began a career dancing among the glitz and glam of the Studio 54 era. In reconciling his coming-out and reconciliation of same, he had a very supportive family who buttressed Chris's acknowledgment and awareness of his inner identity, which resulted in his being able to move past addiction into recovery. All LGBT and LGBTQ lifestyle individuals are aware that in the Studio 54 era . . . even with a dystopian culture of the times . . . coming-out and self-acceptance toward total self-awareness was not an easy pill to swallow, which often resulted in pill-taking to achieve that goal. Moving beyond to a balance of whole self is what Christopher Duquette achieved. And, he is happy to call himself a homosexual now while residing with the love of his life, Storm. Having a soulmate in life aids every soul in reaching the horizon of tranquility and zen. Thankfully, Chris and Storm have this existence and getting there is a story, which is shared in both of these titles.

About DRxug of Choice: Christopher Duquette's latest release summer of 2019. This is an expose on life and how trying to get it right sometimes results in things going wrong while following the direction of people who are supposed to be in the know and intending to do no harm. When the results of good choices go wrong - how you resolve it all and move into knowing the good while reinventing life to an enlightened state is where the compass leads.

About HOMO GOGO MAN: Written in the first person, this fictional story is about a sexually suppressed boy who learns to dance to express himself, dance for a living, and dance to love life. Starting in the disco era of the 70 s, the protagonist is introduced to the fast world of go-go dancing, hustling, drugs, and underground clubs after his first man-on-man encounter while exploring Times Square after he arrives at college. The story continues on his odyssey to live the big life in New York City as he trips through clubs, more drugs, and a series of boyfriends for two decades until he bottoms out in his forties from too much of the above. "Homo GoGo Man," a play on words of the species homo sapien, is a tale of a gay man avoiding extinction.

About the Author: I am beginning to field my title once more in NYC after a sabbatical in Rural New York to recalibrate from over technologicalization of my life; however, all things come full circle, and I missed the Big Apple. Currently, I hail in Jamaica Queens NYC and I am busily finding my path to the hidden niche's of books, people, and readings . . . look for me throughout our great city and beyond in the 2017 - 2018 book-signing circuit. If you have a venue, bookshop, store, grocery mart, location for a book reading and signing - I'm interested in hearing from you and so is my publisher, "Q" of DonnaInk Publications, which is a small, economically disadvantaged, woman-owned publishing initiative who offer writers everything but the kitchen sink - they have big hearts and - although, due to size, they can't deliver everything they'd like to - DonnaInk Publications delivers quality creations, heartfelt support, and authorial success in spite of it all. Mostly, I want to say I appreciate you all as readers who have traversed the Disco Era or heard about it. If you are coming out, in the closest, straight and unafraid of life choices, or as gay as a blue-jay - thank you for being here and sharing this glimpse of history. As a clean adult, post-era, I'm privileged to share a moment of history in recovery and pray the same for each of you.
