Naperville, Illinois Mar 25, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The Board of Directors of Curiosity 2 Create has named Katie S. Trowbridge as Executive Director of Curiosity 2 Create.
Trowbridge's background as an educator, combined with a deep passion for promoting creativity and curiosity, will help to advance the mission of the organization further. "She brings experience, enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, and a passion for bringing creativity into everyday problem-solving. We are pleased that Katie has volunteered her time to our organization while continuing to teach part-time. With her diverse abilities and experience, she will lead her team to implement and cultivate curiosity and creativity in the community, education, and business settings. "
When Katie Trowbridge assumes her leadership role on April 1, she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization as well as develop an in-depth training curriculum aimed to assist young minds, educators, and businesses as they bring creativity and critical thinking to their everyday lives - personally and professionally.
Trowbridge said," Spending the last 22 years in the classroom, especially during the turbulent past two years, has solidified the need to educate people on the importance of creative and critical thinking. I am incredibly excited to aid Curiosity 2 Create in its mission to help others embrace their inner creativity to reach their highest potential. Trowbridge is currently teaching English at Naperville North High School. She has been on numerous curriculum development committees and has a heart for incorporating social-emotional learning in all strands of education. Trowbridge has a Master's Degree in Teaching from National Louis University and a Masters Degree in Education Administration from Benedictine University. Before she started her career in education, she was Executive Director of Kidsmatter and worked in Marketing and Public Relations. Katie has volunteered to organize numerous events for nonprofits. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a B.A. English.

Curiosity 2 Create is a nonprofit organization that strives to cultivate creativity and curiosity in personal and professional lives through unique and tailored training/programs for educators and businesses. Through their unique C.R.E.A.T.E. model, Curiosity 2 Create will work with students, teachers, school districts, and corporations to assist them in discovering their creative potential and increase their ability to collaborate and think critically.
