London, United Kingdom Jun 6, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Camden Town's lively Green Note is the venue for an upcoming 'Drums Of The World' workshop-meets-social event to encourage community participation. For everyone with a love of rhythms, the drumming sessions welcome any level of experience of playing drums - including beginners.
Canadian drummer and percussionist Adam Teixeira has toured the world collecting exciting rhythms and exploring varied percussion instruments. Adam shares his passion and knowledge during the fun and interactive 2-hour drumming sessions.
London's drum teaching collective, Elephant Drums, are proud to support the event. Will Connor is one of the drum tutors at Elephant Drums helping organize the workshops. He said, "the Drums Of The World sessions are a fantastic way for learners of all ages, no matter their background or musical experience, to come and play new rhythms together".
Jess, a drum student attending the session, added: "drumming is like a global language we can all understand... and getting to know different music from all over the world is incredibly eye-opening".
Another participant, Sam, commented, "I loved the fact it was easy to pick up and join in considering I've never played drums before".
Participants can expect a warm welcome, with free refreshments on arrival. All drums and equipment are provided but drummers are welcome to bring their own hand drum along if preferred.
Registration is open now via the Elephant Drums website or the Green Note website.
