BREAKING: United Pilots Poised To Reject Concessionary Contract Agreement.

Voting Begins Monday, September 21, 2020.

Chicago, Illinois Sep 21, 2020 (Issuewire.com)  - Today a grassroots group of United Airlines pilots launched a new website http://UnitedContract.org as a repository for information countering the pilot union's promotion of the concessionary “Pandemic Relief” Tentative Contractual Agreement (TA).

What began as a simple mandate from the over 12,000 active United pilots to explore potential ways to prevent furloughing 2000 most junior, has morphed into a $1.3 Billion, a two-year pilot-funded concessionary scheme which may only delay furloughs until June 2021. The pilots are facing a near 50% wage reduction in exchange for an 8-month delay, at which time United Airlines is free to furlough any and all pilots.

The consortium of pilot contributors includes many former union volunteers, management pilots, and members from a diverse cross-section of ages and seniority. The site's developers state that their intent is to present information and opinions to counter the pilot union's intense pressure to pass the concessionary agreement in an unusually short 7- days.

We want pilots to read, analyze, and ask the tough questions not addressed by the union spokesmen. Our site presents many of the questions pilots need to be answered before they can make an informed vote.”

When questioned about the anonymity of the site, the developers stated that they do not want past politics to cloud their important message.

If pilots from either legacy carrier knew who all were contributing, most would not believe that so many former political adversaries could unite to defeat this TA. This TA decades' old differences for a greater cause.

They invite you to visit and learn more.
