Benefit Bash comes to Islington

To raise money for BBC Children in Need

  • Benefit Bash comes to Islington

London, United Kingdom Sep 6, 2018 (Issuewire.com)  - Benefit Bash is a concert to raise money for BBC Children in Need. It’ll be a fun night of fundraising and music. It will also be a platform for unsigned musicians to get their music out there while raising money for charity at the same time. Most people would fund raise by cake sales or other means.

This is a unique event where music and fundraising come together for a good cause to raise money for an iconic charity, one which has helped children in communities across the UK and abroad.

The acts were personally handpicked by the organisers for this event. The amount of talent displayed by everyone who applied where huge and it was hard picking the winners. But to those who were picked, congratulations. Here’s a little bit about the acts performing.

Laura Jeanne

Laura just has it all from a degree in fashion design to singing and writing her own music. She has had her 2 songs published by EMI/Sony ATV and was even sponsored by the popular beer brand; Budweiser. She recently made a television appearance on Posh Pawn where she shows the world her beautiful artwork and outrageous costumes!

When I first came across her after applying to my listing, I had the first line to her song; English rose stuck in my head for weeks!

Her latest single; English Rose is available on most digital platforms. Can’t wait to have her perform.

Avishek Choudhury

All the way from Blackpool, Avishek started his musical journey back in 2012. Since then, he’s been on numerous stages from the O2 Academy Sheffield to Sheffield City Hall. He even got radio play on BBC Introducing. In 2015, he was on a trivia show called Two Tribes where he didn’t win but made it to the second round.

His writing process is like every other dedicated musician, mess about with a few chords there and then until something comes on the top of your head whether it’ll be on a piano or a guitar. An outstanding talent just waiting to be discovered.

He currently has four singles out;

‘Say Hello', 'Times Like These', 'Do What You Gotta Do' & 'Going Places'. And it was the song Say Hello which I heard first. I saw something in him and I’m so happy to have him perform at my show.

Sertari

As many artists do, Sertari started off by starting her own record label and ever since as achieved so much in such a short space of time. She has an ambition for performing and her vocals out of this world. She has won the Akademia awards and nominated at the Exposure Music Awards for Best Song and Best Live Act. She also won The Extreme Exposure Award in the U.K. Open Mic finals while also receiving exposure on BBC Introducing.

Having performed at the O2 Academy before in Islington, she and her band are excited to play there again in September. From when she first applied to my listing and from hearing her music for the very first time, I knew that I wanted her on board this gig.

Her new EP; Bright Star is now available on most digital platforms.

Lizzie Haynes

Lizzie has a true passion for singing. She won Worthing Idol in 2011 and has performed on various stages since. Even in a gospel choir for future king of England, Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace! She has done various covers which include Adele and has recently released a house track called Feel the freedom with djs Karakaff which can be streamed on most digital platforms.

I adored her ambition and talent and I’m very glad to have her on board to sing at my show.

Josie Jackson

As well as putting on Benefit Bash to raise money for BBC Children in Need, Josie has been singing and acting since the age. Her love for the arts industry in indescribable. She never thought she would get into songwriting but here she is, after being inspired by one of her idols; Jesse McCartney. After watching an interview with how he loved writing his own music, she thought she would give it a go and a few years later, has an album on iTunes.

Her latest album; The Choices We Make is now available on iTunes and her second album; Walking in The Shadows, comes out November 10th 2018.

“BBC Children in Need has helped me in the past and now here I am, putting on a concert to raise money for it”.
