Are Believers Truly Saved? Test Pilot Says “Not For Certain” in New Book

Book on salvation explains the misguided guarantee in religion

Los Angeles, California Mar 25, 2019 (Issuewire.com)  - Test Pilot and author Harding Hedgpeth’s “The Hope of Salvation” digs into the truth about being saved in the after-life—as taught by religion. Author sites the important teachings in the bible and why these should not be misconstrued as a form of guarantee for believers.

In the book, Hedgpeth discusses how the church interprets salvation. Most, if not all of us, are taught, that a one-time profession of belief and trust in Jesus Christ will guarantee entry into heaven.

Hedgpeth believed the same doctrine for many years. He was raised by a Christian family and taught that “no matter what happens, you’re saved.” It was not until he reached the age of 40 and started reading the Bible, in earnest, that he realized that is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches one must endure in one’s Faith until death, hoping to gain entry into heaven.  No one is assured of their salvation.

Authors Press will be showcasing “The Hope of Salvation” at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books to be held at the University of Southern California campus this coming April 13 to 14, 2019. Hedgpeth’s work will be exhibited at Authors Press’ booth number 937.  Readers and festival goers will get an exclusive preview of his work during the festivities.
